The thrill of speed, roar of engines, wheel to wheel battles and shiny frames flashing before the eyes of wildly excited audience of the early car races – it’s all there, in UGEARS’ fascinating U-9 Grand Prix Car based on iconic designs of the Golden Age of the automobile industry at the beginning of the XX century.

The mechanisms hidden inside the devices we use in our lives are made so tiny these days that people became deprived of a possibility to behold of the magic of moving gears. The interest in real mechanics will always be there urging us to seek its propulsion source and take a look inside. People enjoy assembling models that come to life in their hands showing the fascinating workings of gears in a beautiful articulated structure.

Model U-9 recreates the magnificent and imposing appearance of Grand Prix winner models from drive shaft to spare wheel. Under the hood of this new model you will find a V8 engine equipped with a powerful fan and 16 fully functioning valves. To wind it up just use the hand crank in its front. Your new vehicle has a link rod and a transmission switching the modes between idle, reverse, and race ahead, baby! The U-9 has a spring-suspended fork and rubberized wheels ensuring smooth but rapid acceleration and a long driving range.

The design of this beauty is based on the racing-sports cars that participated in the very first Grand Prix race that had taken place in Italy back in the early 20th century. Adopting the sleek flowing lines of the old Formula One prototypes, UGEARS engineers and designers gave this new model an exquisite and truly elegant “old-school” appearance highlighted with a drive belt on the outside of the car and other peculiar design elements. The Oblong shape coupled with the bold style of the radiator grille is meant to bring you the feeling of the dawning age of car racing.

A model kit has everything you might need for assembly. The quality of the details is very high – the parts of the models are outlined with a CNC laser cutter on a plywood board. The first thing you notice when opening the box is a pleasant smell of wood. It is eco-friendly and healthy. The details have to be pulled out of the boards and assembled to create a complete model. The car is using Ugears signature “know how” that allows implementing assembly without glue or any additional tools. Just follow the detailed step-by-step illustrated manual with instructions in 10 languages to complete your model.

Stock / Delivery Time

Each product indicates whether it is in stock. If you are planning to visit the store to purchase a specific item, and it shows that we only have a few items in stock, we recommend that you place an order in our webshop and choose the delivery option "Pick up in store". We will then reserve the products for you and send you a confirmation email when your order is ready for collection.

Shipping Methods and Costs

Packages are normally shipped with DB Schenker and delivered to a collection point. If, for logistical reasons, the shipment cannot be sent to a collection point, we will contact you to find a suitable delivery method.

You can order as much as you like – the shipping cost is only SEK 79 per order! For very bulky products, actual shipping costs may apply. We will always contact you if the shipping cost exceeds SEK 79.

Right of Withdrawal

If you purchase an item by mail order, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days. Once you have returned the item, we will refund the amount you paid for it. If you paid by card, it may take a few banking days for the money to appear in your account. Return shipping is paid by you, and the item must be sent to our address, not to a collection point.
As a buyer, you have the right to carefully inspect the item, but it must be returned in essentially unchanged condition. You may not use or test the item.

• The return form below must be completed and included together with the receipt/invoice.
• If the item contains multiple packages with accessories/parts, these must not be opened.

Uncollected Shipments

For packages that cannot be delivered or are not collected from the specified collection point, we will charge a fee of at least SEK 250. If our actual costs are higher, those costs will be charged.
